It is not the first time the comedian sets foot on the Festival Red Carpet since she has presented several movies there: “Chromophobia”, out of the Competition in 2005, “Angels and Insects” and “An unforgettable summer”, both selected in the Official Competition in 1995 and 1994, as well as “La méridienne”, selected in the “Un Certain Regard” selection in 1988.

She also was member of the Jury in 2000.

The actress will welcome another great figure of the Festival, the President of the Jury, the American director Tim Burton. She will also open the Festival on the May 12^th Ceremony and will close it on the May 23^rd Ceremony.

Kristin Scott Thomas will soon be back on our screens with several movies such as “Nowhere boy”, a movie about John Lennon’s life, or in the adaptation of Mautpassant famous novel, “Bel-Ami”, where she plays with Robert Pattinson and Uma Turman.
